Distance learning as a mode of imparting higher education has been accepted globally and large number of students are making use of this facility in countries like India. But the universities and academic institutions, imparting distance learning are not serious about students support services, especially in the provision of library services for distance learners. Developed countries have already brought in revolutions in providing library services to the distance learners using the Internet technology.
