Z325 Constable Angus Thoroughgood is back
Fresh from his exploits in ‘The Shift’, Thoroughgood finds himself assigned to Community Policing in Briarknock, a part of Glasgow known for its horrific drugs problem, violence and unemployment, and terrorised by a team of notorious housebreakers known as ‘The Creepers’.
To make matters worse, Thoroughgood finds out that ruthless DI Sean O’Toole is in the pay of Glasgow’s most feared crime lord Tony McGrain, the man they call ‘The Widowmaker’, as he faces waging a desperate war on two fronts.
While he utilises the help of a star informant to bring down ‘The Creepers’, Thoroughgood learns of a fabled piece of ground known in Glasgow criminal folklore as ‘The Blood Acre’… the burial ground where McGrain has executed enemies and traitors alike.
It is there that his only hope of survival and the information that will stop ‘The Widowmaker’ funding a bombing campaign across England’s major cities are located.
