You want work you can start this month for under $500, keep your schedule, and grow to $750 to $1,500 per good day without a boss dictating your hours. Right now ladders look risky, pricing feels like guesswork, and the phone stays quiet after you post once in a local group and hear nothing. You need a trade where the proof is visible on the glass and referrals start in week 2.
This book is not a franchise kit for $ thousands, and it is not a YouTube montage of top rungs and squeaky rubber with no business system. It is not a promise of overnight riches. What you need is a manual that balances the squeegee with the price sheet, the route, and the safety check. The chapters that follow give you that balance in the order you will actually use it on a ladder at 9 am.
Inside, you will discover:
• Why a $300 to $1,000 starter kit beats a wrapped van and how to buy a dumb trailer later
• Per pane pricing at $4 to $8 with a $75 to $150 minimum that covers fuel and time
• Google Business Profile setup that beats a fancy website for local intent today
• The 5 step clean, prep, scrub, squeegee, detail, inspect, that cuts callbacks by 50 %
• On the spot quoting that states 1 number, adds a $25 ladder fee, and closes Tuesday at 9
• Recurring plans at 10 % to 20 % off that lift retention to 70 % to 80 % and tighten routes
• Safety that keeps 3 points of contact, 1 foot out per 4 feet up, and a daily 5 minute kit reset
You will practice 12 and 18 inch squeegees, a 3 section pole to avoid 60 % of ladder climbs, and a 90 minute weekly admin block that logs income, mileage, and reviews. Solo operators who run this system report 20 % to 60 % margins and a calendar that stays full through spring peaks and slow winters. If you want a business you can carry in a backpack and build street by street, the next chapter hands you the first door hanger.
