We need to start by recognising that we are in a war to understand the battle of spiritual warfare.
Battles make up the broader representation with smaller components. By nature, the war between two people, between forces, between armies consists of any "extensive battle, conflict or disagreement" (Webster-Merriam).
As Christians, we are waging some spiritual battle every day. Of different reasons and with varying degrees of intensity, battles are fought on various fronts in the war. The same goes for spiritual warfare. Our inner fights and wars are actual, but we can't see the enemy physically. But we can understand how the wars are waged and how they affect our lives every day.
We may wonder, "Why do we even want to fight?"It won't help us to learn to fight if we don't see a reason to fight. War in the physical realm is very controversial today. Those views, values, and principles will be passed to the spiritual realm. Nevertheless, there is a war in the spiritual realm, irrespective of our belief.
