Our brains are able to handle the resulting lack of glucose by taking nutrition from our fat stores.
    Our bodies are quite capable of keeping our brains healthy. After just a few days without constant glucose being provided, the liver will use our body fat to fuel our brains. You can see how this would be helpful to our ancestors when food was scarce, but we can also take advantage of this process to teach our bodies to process fat properly and give our brain the best-possible nutrients.
