You need to establish yourself as a serious business owner in your own mind and in your own house before you can convey that image to anyone else, like a prospective client.

Then you get to work. You start on task number one, and you aren’t allowed to move on to task number two until the first one is done.

Here’s what you do: you write down your five tasks the night before, and you rank them. You can make one list for work and one for personal if it helps. You write down your daily goal and then break that up into five action items, starting with the most important.

When you prioritize and keep your list short, you actually get things done—the important things.

The best thing to remember is that we all learn best by doing. Not watching. Not reading. At the end of the day, you will actually have to do something.

Do your thing as only you can do it.

Lack of knowledge should never be a holdup, especially when there’s so much information available for free.

2. I’ve Never Done This Before

This is kind of silly, isn’t it? At what age do we start saying this? When we were young and something new came up, we’d go “Oh, okay, cool. How do I do it?” And we’d ask for help if we couldn’t figure it out.

Here’s the good news: You create time. You are in control of it.
