Richard C. Horowitz

Richard C. Horowitz is a parenting maven, coach, and author of Family Centered Parenting (2011). DR. Horowitz is a trainer, problem solver, and men's issues, and he also runs a blog, Why We Must Re-Define Masculinity.

Richard Horowitz holds a doctorate in education from Rutgers University and, for over 45 years, has worked with families and children in individual, educational and institutional settings. He holds a doctorate in educational administration.

He is a past president, trustee, and group facilitator for Men Mentoring Men, a non-profit organization supporting men, and is a former Peace Corps volunteer.

As a president and group leader, he has learned to embrace the unique journey of men trying to express their masculinity that fits with the values and mores of our modern society.

Richard C. Horowitz recently completed a memoir with a working title “Walk Like A Man.“ In it, he analyzes his developing sense of being a man and how that played out in his adult life.

"As a man of the baby boomer generation, I aspire to fully understand how my sense of masculinity evolved and how that has changed for men who have come of age in the 21st century," says Horowitz.

Richard also volunteers as a mentor for SCORE, is a Certified Guardian Ad Litem, and career coach for ex-offenders.

Richard C. Horowitz is the father and stepfather of seven children.
